Transforming a hotel in Lloret de Mar from 3 to 4 stars.
Situated in the centre of the town, the hotel – built in 1960 – faced a massive transformation, in which facades, rooms, lobby and terraces all had to be redesigned on a very low budget.
From the original 163 rooms, the hotel finally has 147 units.
When faced by such a project, the main challenge was how to update the hotel whilst retaining its essence as a beach hotel from the 1960s.
Materials, colours and furniture were chosen to start a dialogue between a completely modernized building and the Mediterranean holiday ideal.
