“The Chromosaturation is an artificial environment composed of three colour chambers, one red, one green and one blue that immerse the visitor in a completely monochrome situation. This experience creates disturbances in the retina, accustomed to receiving a wide range of colours simultaneously. The Chromosaturation can act as a trigger, activating in the viewer the notion of colour as a material or physical situation, going into space without the aid of any form or even without any support, regardless of cultural beliefs.” Carlos Cruz-Diez, 2009
As a pendulum swings from one side to another, this whole project is based on transitions form darkness to “Chromosaturations”. Light defines both spaces and activities in this 2000m2 Spa found within a 4-star hotel in Santa Susanna, a Beach Resort 50km north of Barcelona.
